Dear turtle lover!
Owning turtles is a very difficult and long responsibility, please do consider the care that they require before buying them. We also need to inform you that it is not within our regulations of our business for us to take in turtles.AVS takes a stern view on pet abandonment, and will take enforcement action, where necessary. Individuals who abandon their pets or fail in their duty of care toward their pets, are liable to a maximum fine of $10,000 and/or a maximum jail term of 12 months for first convictions. Please also know that the releasing your pet turtle into the wild, parks or reservoirs even as an act of religion (i.e. FangSheng 放生) is also not allowed and can attract fines from the government.
We hope you understand. Do consider it as it is better to care for them as they have been with you for some time. Rather than us caring for a few hundred turtles, they would be better off with you as you are their owner, or a close family member/friend.
