    VOLUNTEERING PROGRAMME

    Dear turtle lover!


    Thank you for your interest in volunteering with us. The Live Turtle and Tortoise Museum (LTTM) deeply appreciate and warmly welcome animal lovers who wish to play a part in maintaining the welfare of our beloved turtles.


    We are looking for hardworking and trustworthy volunteers who are at least 16 years of age, and are comfortable with working outdoors and around turtles. Volunteers are required to commit, at minimum, to a progressive minimum 5 days volunteering programme. The days can be spread across a time frame of 1 day per week. Because of the schedules of our operations, volunteering hours are from 9AM to 6PM. The volunteering programme is detailed in the table below:

     1 and 2 (i) Preparation of vegetables, pellets or fish for the feeding of turtles
    (ii) Record-taking of individual appetite of turtles
     (Weekly curator)
     3 and 4 (i) Cleaning of aquariums and performing water changes
    (ii) Cleaning of substrate bedding for tortoises
     (Weekly curator)
     5, 6 and 7 Conduct routine health inspection of turtles and identifying turtles by labels (Operation team leads)
    *Program flow subject to change due operational changes and review of our volunteering requirements. Please contact us in the "reasons you are applying field" if you want to clarify anything with us on this.

    After a completion of each tier, we will provide you a certificate according to the level of volunteering you were willing to commit to the museum. Do note that during the programme, if there is a sudden switch of duties due to the requirements for the week, your tasks may change without prior notice.
